Door stuck open or won't close
Stops part-way, reverses on its own or sits open — often after a power interruption, an obstruction or an opener fault.
What we doWe check travel limits, force settings, safety beams and the door itself before deciding what has actually failed.
Door won't open
Nothing moves on the remote or wall control, the opener strains, or the door is jammed in its tracks or guides.
What we doWe isolate the cause — power, opener, drive, springs or binding — then quote once it's confirmed.
Broken or fatigued springs
A loud bang in the garage, a door that suddenly feels very heavy, or a roller door that won't hold its position.
What we doSprings hold high tension and are strictly technician work. We assess balance, replace or re-tension, then re-check full travel.
Noisy, rough or shuddering operation
Grinding, squealing, rattling or juddering — usually the first warning of wear or misadjustment.
What we doWe lubricate moving parts, tighten fixings, and check rollers, bearings and guides for wear.
Cables, rollers, tracks and guides
A frayed or derailed cable, a door sitting crooked, flattened rollers, or tracks knocked out of line.
What we doWe inspect the running gear end to end, realign or replace what's damaged, and confirm the door runs true.
Openers, remotes and wall controls
Intermittent remotes, short range, a dead wall control, or an opener that no longer stops in the right place.
What we doWe test the opener, re-code or replace remotes and controls, and reset travel limits and force settings.
Door alignment and uneven travel
The door closes on an angle, leaves a gap at one side, or one side lifts before the other.
What we doWe check balance and alignment, adjust where the design allows, and flag anything structural in the opening.
Safety beams and safety features
The door reverses for no reason, the beams show a fault, or a lock or manual release has stopped working.
What we doWe test safety beams, auto-reverse, locks and manual release, and correct alignment or wiring faults.
Damaged panels, slats and curtains
A reversed-into sectional panel, a dented or buckled roller-door curtain, or storm and impact damage.
What we doSome panels can be replaced individually; others are better replaced as a door. We inspect and tell you honestly which.
Some faults can be quoted from a clear description and photos. Springs, drive components and intermittent electrical faults need an on-site inspection first — we tell you which one you're looking at.
